Do you have a refund or return policy?

We are proud to offer a no-hassle return policy on most items purchased.

All returns must be initiated promptly and Hodinkee/Crown & Caliber must receive the returned merchandise at our warehouse within 7-days from the date you received the item. Please note that the actual refund amount is subject to applied discounts, tax, shipping costs, item condition, and currency exchange rate fluctuations (if applicable).

Watches

All pre-owned and most new/modern watches available on HODINKEE will ship from our Atlanta facility. Returns will be facilitated to the same location.

Worn or altered new/modern watches (as well as smart watches produced by Apple and Garmin) are not applicable to be returned; the return process will be rejected and the watch will be returned back to you. Worn or altered pre-owned watches, as detected by the absence or adjustment of the red sticker, can still be returned but you will be charged a reinspection fee of 10% (no greater than $500). 

If we detect any paperwork, such as the manual or warranty, is missing from your return, no charge will be incurred on a new/modern watch. On a pre-owned watch, a replacement fee will be charged that's determined by our valuation of the missing item.

If any accessories, such as – but not limited to – a strap or box, are missing from your return, a replacement fee will be charged on new/modern watches and pre-owned watches based on either the replacement cost or the value of the missing item. We will reach out to you if we detect any accessories are missing before you are charged. 

Please be aware that any attempt to change the strap or bracelet could result in unintentional damage to the watch case which would make it ineligible for return.

On nearly all returns, we will provide a pre-paid, fully insured shipping label for you to return the merchandise to us. 

Please note that we do reserve the right to ask for additional photos of a watch prior to it being shipped back, and we do reserve the right to reject a return prior to it being shipped back if we see fit. 

A note to our International (non-United States) customers: If a delivery is rejected, the incurred customs fees are charged as a restocking fee. Otherwise, during a standard return, all shipping labels are the customer's responsibility. Any previously incurred customs fees and/or taxes are non-refundable but can be petitioned through customs if so desired. 

 

Vintage Watches

All vintage watches available on HODINKEE will ship and facilitate returns from our Atlanta office. Returns will be facilitated to the same location.

Your return will be rejected if: 

  • We detect it has been worn or altered.
  • If it is missing any supplied paperwork.
  • Or, if it is missing any of the supplied accessories.

On nearly all returns, we will provide a pre-paid, fully insured shipping label for you to return the merchandise to us. 

A note to our International (non-United States) customers: If a delivery is rejected, the incurred customs fees are charged as a restocking fee. Otherwise, during a standard return, all shipping labels are the customer's responsibility. Other Merchandise

Most non-watch products will ship from our warehouse in New Jersey. Returns will be facilitated to the same location.

Worn or altered merchandise is not applicable to be returned; the return will be rejected and the item(s) will be returned.

Technology products including but not limited to products manufactured by Apple, Leica
Garmin, and Bang & Olufsen are not eligible to be returned. The HODINKEE Magazine volumes are also not eligible for return. If the item in question is non-returnable, it will be disclosed on the product details page within the "Features" section for smart watches or within the "Specifications" section for lifestyle products.
